Bluescreen - Open Film Screenings - Last Wed of the month

Bluescreen is back at The Cube Cinema on Wednesday 24th February 2010 @ 8pm. GBP 3/2.

For Februarys Bluescreen - 24/02/10 -something a little different...

In the spirit of Michel Gondry's paean to the home-made film 'Be Kind Rewind',this month we want you to bring your own 'sweded' or home-made versions of your favourite films!

So we throw down a challenge, to do this all in under 20mins! Game?

Bring films down on the night, as per usual, on DVDs, Mini DVs etc. Email if you have any questions.

Plus a 'LIVE' Sweded film to be made on the night!

Bluescreen operates a walk-in independent film programme, we are home to the Pro & Amateur Filmmaker alike, so come down and hand in your film and it will be shown!

We try to screen any format but easier for us, if its on DVD/Mini-DV/VHS. Duration of films should be no longer than 20mins in length, so we can screen as many films as possible during the event.

Now most months, kicking off the evenings entertainment, will be a live score to some carefully selected films (from the bluescreen archive!) from the Cube's very own in-house Orchestra.

Plus the eclectic sounds of Bluescreen Hi-Fi.. DJ-ing in the bar throughout the evening.

bluescreen are open to Ideas/Live Soundtracks/Collaborations/Festival Screenings etc..
